 | Industry standard Pro Tools software and hardware (LE 7.0/7.1 & Digi
002 with Music Production Toolkit extensions-allows 48 simultaneously voiced
tracks-instead of the standard 32, direct to MP3 bounces, extra plug-ins,
etc.). Running on a custom quad-core system that almost makes TDM systems
irrelevant. |
 | An audio pro with over 20 years of live audio and recording experience |
 | Mixing system is completely separate from recording system--creating an
instant backup when audio is transferred to the custom audio computer via
firewire interface. |
 | Access to a full array of quality RTAS and VST plug-ins within Pro Tools, allowing
way too many choices of
effects possibilities. Experienced with the creative use of distortion and
overdrive/tape drive effects. I can make it as clean or as dirty, or as
digital or analog sounding as you like
it. |
 | Acoustically treated (bass traps, diffusion and absorption), and 1/6 octave RTA analyzed and EQ'd mix room
along
with widely used Mackie HR824 studio monitors contributes to mixes that
consistently sound good on other systems. |
 | The first studio to use the Hyper OS Systems multi-boot software system from the UK
which allows fully and individually optimized separate operating systems for
each type of audio or other software. |
 | The ability to stream up to 24 bit audio anywhere in the world for
immediate mix approvals (via Source-Live's software and service, and through
my high-speed cable connection). All you need is Quicktime and a decent
internet connection (extra set-up required, not included in the standard
package). Also the simple option of checking your mixes via my secure
FTP site. |

The editing and mixing rig. Compared to the old analog ways, it sure gets
things done quickly and PRECISELY, and for much less money. The audio signal
goes immediately into the digital realm while still inside the mic preamps
of the location recording rig. The analog signal path is short and
clean, which contributes greatly to the quality of the finished product.

The Digi 002 is an elegant and efficient way to control the Pro Tools
Software. While it also acts as an audio interface into Pro-Tools (suitable for
a home-studio tracking type of use), I only use it as a control surface. The audio is already in 24 bit digital
format (at 44.1, 48, 88, or 96 kHz) when it is imported into Pro Tools from the
removable drive of the Alesis HD recorder.
My custom built and set-up computer has lots of removable drives, firewire
drives, and dual layer dvd backup capability. No purpose in disclosing any spec's as
it will probably change by the time you read this. Suffice to say, it gets the
job done and will rival most any Mac based system, especially for
versatility. My secret weapon is a special multiboot partition system from the UK
that enables separate
operating systems optimized for each type of software used.
