DO YOUR FANS LOVE YOUR LIVE SHOWS?  DO YOUR STUDIO RECORDINGS LACK THE EXCITEMENT AND ENERGY THAT COMES ACROSS AT YOUR LIVE GIGS?  DO YOU WANT TO CAPTURE THE SOUND, GROOVE AND INTENSE INTERACTION OF ACTUAL  MUSICIANS  PLAYING TOGETHER IN REAL TIME?

IF SO, HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED. IT'S A WORLD-CLASS LIVE RECORDING OF YOUR NEXT SHOW, DONE BY FORBESOUND.  IT WILL CAPTURE ALL THE POWER AND EXCITEMENT OF YOUR PERFORMANCE IN A WAY THAT IS ALL BUT IMPOSSIBLE IN A STERILE STUDIO ENVIRONMENT.  YOU'LL HEAR THE DIFFERENCE, AND SO WILL YOUR FANS  WHEN THEY BUY YOUR CD OR DOWNLOADS.

If you're an artist who can do a great live show, why not take advantage of it? A good live album will get your fans much more emotionally involved in your music than a collection of manufactured studio tracks ever could. The energy from a live audience can inspire a level of performance that may never happen in the studio. And the performance is what it's all about.

I specialize in recording live shows with a custom rig (pictured above on the edge of the stage at BB King's Universal City, CA). This EXCELLENT YET AFFORDABLE remote recording service is the result of my 20+ years of professional live sound, recording and performing. And it's not just some random recording gear that was thrown together. The system was designed and assembled with a lot of thought, research, and a bit of trial and error. The main consideration was absolute maximum sound quality per dollar spent. I think I have done pretty well in this regard, and that is why I can give you such a high level of quality for such a reasonable cost.

I didn't leave out some often-overlooked important details. I use a 24 channel transformer-isolated mic splitter that I wired with top quality Mogami cable—so there will be NO adverse interaction with the sound reinforcement system (such as hum, noise, and varying input impedances which can alter levels and affect audio quality). Due to the relatively high cost, this is an item that is often omitted by less-professional recording services. The entire analog signal chain is conveyed through top-of-the-line Mogami snakes and Mogami studio quad mic cables only. The location recordings are made on a rock-solid 24 track dedicated HD recorder (fed from 24 class A microphone preamps with limiting and compression capability and digital outputs), then moved to Pro Tools for editing, mixing, & mastering. The result will be an energized CD (and/or mp3 or other format files) that will make your fans feel like they are still at your concert. And the quality? Even gear snobs could easily be fooled into thinking that you paid  the big bucks (around $6000) to hire a major name, big remote truck.

ULTRA-REASONABLE PRICING

For the recording of a local, single live set, the cost to have a CD that is edited, mixed, and ready to duplicate can be as low as $450 complete! Of course, if you are going to release a commercial CD from the recording, you will probably want to spend some extra time to perfect the mix , which can involve considerable extra time and some reasonable extra expense.

If you need just the recording only and have the capability and talent to do your own mix, the cost of recording just a single local set can be as low as $250. This works out great for aspiring musician/engineers on a really tight budget who want to take a shot at doing their own mix. And it also works great for pro studios and producers who want someone to do a great job of capturing live tracks in the field.  But no matter which way you do it, your finished product will have a level of quality that far exceeds the cost.
